| Horror in small cells.
Still animals are locked up in small cages around the world. They are used for all kind of different tests.
- On picture 1 you see Britches: Britches was a baby macaque monkey. Some heartless "scientists" wanted to
know what happens when a baby grows up without sight and then regains it later (now there's a real-world
scenario for you!?). So they sewed Britches' eyes shut. Real cool, guys. Britches was liberated by the
Animal Liberation Front and leads a decent life in a shelter.
- Picture nr. 2 shows a bunny. This unfortunate bunny had the bad luck to become part of a skin toxicity
test. There are a lot of companies who don't test their products on animals.
- Picture. 3: This monkey was also deliberately blinded.
- Picture no. 4 shows a monkey that was intentionally infected with syphilis.
- Picture nr. 5: Shelves of embalmed cats are stored at Carolina Biological Supply Company, Burlington.
PETA investigators witnessed animals being embalmed while still alive. Hey, it's cheaper that way.
- Picture nr. 6 shows the ulimate despair: Life in a laboratory cage has broken the spirit of this
monkey.
- Piture nr. 7: This little gal, Geraldine, has an electrical connector for an implanted electrode
installed on her forehead. The wires run through her head, down her throat, and into her stomach.
Shades of Frankenstein! Geraldine was liberated by the Animal Liberation Front.
- Picture nr. 8: Some pervert's idea of "science". This pitiful animal had to be killed after the two
heads kept attacking each other. ARRS Administrator Note: A lot of sceptical mail has been received
about this photo. It is not a fraud. There is a long history of such "research".
- Picture nr. 9: These terrified monkeys at least have each other for comfort in their empty, sterile
metal cage. Many more are not so "lucky".
